Frequently asked questions
Answering all of your most asked questions.
Can you work with clients anywhere in the country? No, therapists are only authorized to provide services in the states where they hold a license. At the moment, I am offering virtual therapy to clients in Washington DC, Virginia, and Florida.
What are your fees? $200 for an initial intake assessment (50 minutes) $190 for a 50 minute session
Do you offer a sliding scale? There are a limited amount of sliding scale spots available. Please reach out for additional information.
Can I use out-of-network benefits? In some cases, you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. However, you will be responsible for paying for each session in-full at time of appointment.
What if I am not sure if we are a good fit? No problem! If you're unsure whether we're a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation before scheduling an intake appointment. This gives us a chance to get acquainted and discuss your needs so you can make an informed decision.
What happens after we decide we are a good fit? Then we'll get you booked right away! Once we schedule our first therapy session, I’ll send you a few forms to complete beforehand. Additionally, I'll provide a secure link for our virtual appointment.
What is your cancellation policy? We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session, you will be charged the full session fee.
How long does therapy last? The duration of therapy can vary widely from client to client, depending on the issues we're addressing and your personal goals. Our aim is to help you feel grounded, stable, and empowered, and we’ll work together to determine the timeline that best supports your progress.
What methods of payment do you accept? We accept HSA/ FSA accounts and all major credit cards. A credit card on file is required to book an appointment.
How do I use my out of network benefits? Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. Most insurance companies have you upload your monthly superbill online (it’ll be sent to you on the 1st of each month) and then they will mail you a check with your reimbursement. It’s always a good idea to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services. You can ask them the following questions: - Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? - Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth? - What is my out-of-network deductible? -How much of my deductible has been met this year? - Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network? - What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session? - How much will I be reimbursed for a 50 minute psychotherapy session? - How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement? - How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
